06 Dec LEVEL 2 course: Acting Technique 101, Intermediate (in English)

February 4 – April 3, 2019

Instant Theatre Berlin presents a new intermediate course format focused on the development of acting skills and technique. Acting Technique 101 is an 8-week “acting laboratory” focused on improving the awareness and the skill set of each actor. Through progressive exercises aimed at refining concentration, precision and group awareness, all actors will become more aware of their strengths, of their qualities as performers, of their capabilities.

Acting Technique 101 is directed to actors with some previous experience who want to explore the discipline at a deeper level, and who want to improve as performers. Our activities will explore movement, spoken word, scene creation and the ability to follow directions and making changes to our work. At the end of the course, we’ll host an open performance where we’ll present our work in front of the audience.

This course is ideal for:

• All Instant Theatre Actors who took part in the introductory course in the past
• Actors with some experience who want to catch up and refine their skills
• Actors who want to become better and more believable on stage, as well as to work on expanding their character range

In order to take part, some previous experience is requested! All Instant Theatre Actors who took Instant Theatre Berlin’s introductory course will have priority on this course!

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF THIS COURSE:
After the end of this course, your name can be included in the Actors Circle list in order to be cast for future theatre productions in Berlin. Please understand that this opportunity will be granted only to a percentage of the participants, depending on your level and on the production requirements.

TRAINER:

Alex Casadio, acting trainer and founder of Instant Theatre Berlin. A trained actor and musician born in Bologna, Italy, over the years he worked with hundreds of actors, students and professionals. He’s constantly refining his own teaching method focused on acting as a natural behaviour. Alex founded Instant Theatre Berlin in 2013 and he’s active as an acting trainer, theatre director and performer in the Berlin scene.
