“First steps in acting” course

Instant Theatre‘s introductory acting class is starting again! Discover and work on the basics of acting and present a final performance on stage with the group.

This workshop will explore the basics of moving, reacting and interacting authentically on stage. We’ll focus on spontaneity, creativity and using our imagination on stage to create interactions and play scenes and situations inspired by our personalities and by the group. The final part of the project will see us on stage, presenting a final show in front of an audience!

This course is ideal for people who:

  • Want to explore acting to discover more about themselves

  • Want to learn to act, speak and react authentically on stage

  • Want to refine the basics of acting in an inspiring atmosphere

  • Want to perform on stage in English as part of an international group

TRAINER

Director and performer Jahman Davine

Jahman Davine is an Australian born theatre maker working between Melbourne, Australia and Berlin. Having graduated from the National Theatre Drama School as an actor, he has performed for film and theatre. He works most with writing, directing and designing for theater/dance productions. Jahman also acts as a creative consultant for several playwrights, performers, recording artists and theatre and film directors. www.jahmandavine.com

8 Weekly meetings (Tuesdays, 7-9 PM)
Project duration: From Tuesday March 27, 2018 – Tuesday May 15, 2018  (May 1st no class)
Final performance: Sunday May 27, 2018. The show will happen at our performance venue 800A in Berlin.
