Instant Theatre Berlin is proud to present its acclaimed Intro to Acting weekend workshop in the wonderful city of HAMBURG in 2020! The course is taught in English, and it’s aimed at discovering the basics of acting and stage language. This format is addressed to complete beginners but it can be useful to anyone who’s interested in experimenting further with acting and being on stage. During the course of the two days, we’ll explore the fundamentals of acting in a relaxed and playful way. We will play games and scenes on stage, we’ll make our first steps toward the creation of some theatrical material together with the group, and we’ll work on short scenes and texts.

The course will take place in Hamburg, at a studio in a central location of the city, not far from Hamburg Hauptbahnhof in the St. Georg area. The location is easily reachable by Ubahn (Lohmühlenstraße) or bus.

Though this course is introductory, over the 2 days of activities you will discover how creative and liberating acting can be, and you will have the opportunity to experience that “golden state” in which things flow naturally and you can discover something new about yourself and your potential.

This weekend workshop is ideal for people who:

• Want to explore acting to discover more about themselves

• Want to learn to act, speak and react authentically on stage

• Want to get rid of shyness and nervousness in public and day-to-day life

• Want to discover the basics of acting in an inspiring atmosphere

This course can serve as an introduction to the First Steps in Acting course, our regular beginners’ program happening 3 times a year in Berlin. ABOUT INSTANT THEATRE BERLIN

Instant Theatre Berlin is an independent educational project, active in the German capital since 2013. The activities of the project include regular acting courses for amateurs and professionals, as well as Theatre shows and performances. The purpose of Instant Theatre Berlin is to create an international meeting point for people from all over the world. All activities are in English. Instant Theatre is now organising workshops in other cities than Berlin. The Intro to Acting workshop in Hamburg in 2020 is part of this project.

TRAINER

Alex Casadio, acting trainer and founder of Instant Theatre Berlin. A trained actor and musician born in Bologna, Italy, over the years he worked with hundreds of actors, students and professionals. He’s constantly refining his own teaching method focused on acting as a natural behaviour. Alex founded Instant Theatre Berlin in 2013 and he’s active as a trainer, theatre director and performer in the Berlin scene.
