Instant Theatre Berlin presents the 6th Edition of our intensive summer acting workshop in Berlin! This year once again we’ll focus exclusively on scene work.
We will explore and expand on the basic acting principles in a supportive atmosphere within an international group.
How do you play a scene and dive into the situation right away? What are the basic skills that allow an actor to quickly “become” the character and communicate a sense of truth to the audience? How can you feel more present, more connected, and more free on stage?
Through our very practical and hands-on approach you’ll be on stage many times over the weekend regardless of your experience level, and you’ll discover first-hand how empowering and liberating acting can be!

Scene Work and Acting Fundamentals 2026!
This intensive acting course will give you a chance to work on your stage presence in relation to other actors, your surrounding stage reality, and the audience. At the workshop, each participant will spend a lot of time playing scripted scenes on stage, exploring acting techniques that help you follow internal creative impulses and “own” the performance.We will be working on acting exercises that refine stage presence, concentration and charisma.
In each of our intensive sessions, we will be working both as a group and individually with acting exercises that explore creativity, presence, and emotional expression. We will use scripted dialogues and monologues to help us out in the process. The depth of the activities will depend on the quality and the experience level of the group.
Our purpose in the summer intensive acting course is always to welcome a variety of actors from different backgrounds and experience levels, in order to give them an opportunity to work on their acting for a few days in an inspirational environment.

SCHEDULE:
Saturday, June 27, 11–4 pm (4 hours + 1 hr break): intro, group work, basic scene work on stage.
Sunday June 28, 11–4 pm (4 hours + 1 hr break): character work, work on emotions, scene work, conclusion.
The Weekend Workshop will take place in the rooms of Theatre Pool Berlin, Boxhagener Strasse 18, 10245 Berlin.

Alex Casadio, theatre instructor and founder of Instant Theatre Berlin. He’s active as an acting trainer, theatre director and performer in the Berlin scene.

YES. This program is specifically designed for all beginners and for people from other artistic disciplines who would like to get to know the basics of acting.
YES. A big part of our initial work is focused on allowing you to get rid of your expressive blocks. We’ll work around the personal difficulties that we all have, so you’re definitely welcome to join and you’ll be in for a good experience. Our classes are extremely supportive and you’ll have all the group on your side at all times. In the video below I explained more about this topic, please watch it before joining!

NO. The program is only 2-day long, hence we need to use our time from the very beginning for our program. You can also come by at our venue in Berlin Wedding and see some of our shows. In short: we’ll bring the quality and the expertise, but you will have bring the commitment from the start to the end of the project.
YES. If you’re able to read the contents on this page, then your English will be good enough to join. Our participants come from all over the world and it’s not unusual for us in a group of 10 people to have 8-9 different nationalities (and accents) on board. It’s part of the nature of what we do, and we are proud of that!
YES. Acting addresses many of these aspects naturally and in a creative way, so at the end of the course you’ll definitely be more relaxed and more self-confident on stage and in public. Still, if you need 100% focused and individual advice about public speaking or acting, you should book our 1:1 acting training programs. Our introductory course is certainly a very good first step to improve your performative skills.
Most of the times YES, if you are a teenager. But your parent or
guardian MUST get in contact with us before and inform us of your
willingness to join. We might ask you to sign an agreement form. In
general, our classes are meant for adults, 18+ years old.
