Instant Theatre presents a weekend workshop aimed at discovering the basics of acting and stage language. This format is addressed to complete beginners but it can be useful to anyone. During the course of the two days, we’ll explore the fundamentals of acting in a relaxed and playful way. We will play games and scenes on stage, and we’ll make our first steps toward the creation of some theatrical material together with the group.

Although introductory, over the course and the 2 days you will discover how creative and liberating acting can be, and you will have the opportunity to experience the “group feeling” that will allow us to create something together in a short time.

For our activities, please memorize a (very) short text before the workshop and bring it to class.

This weekend workshop is ideal for people who:

  • Want to explore acting to discover more about themselves

  • Want to learn to act, speak and react authentically on stage

  • Want to discover the basics of acting in an inspiring atmosphere

  • Want to perform on stage in English as part of an international group

This course can serve as an introduction to the First Steps in Acting course, our regular beginners’ program happening 3 times a year and starting again in January. For this reason, if after the workshop you wish to submit your registration for the 2-month course First Steps in acting, you will be able to do this at a reduced rate! More details at the workshop.

Alex Casadio @instanttheatreberlin

Alex Casadio, acting trainer and founder of Instant Theatre Berlin. He’s constantly refining his own acting teaching method, his main focus being helping people discover more of their creativity and their potential. Alex founded Instant Theatre Berlin in 2013 and he’s active as an acting trainer, theatre director, improvisation coach and performer in the Berlin scene.
